I haven't taken one yet, will tonight. It looks just like every other gt500 engine bay (and always will!) :)

Good call. The JLT wouldn't be horrible if you want more blower whine and won't affect warranty or anything like that. Or, run it as-is and enjoy the hell out of it.

JLT or VMP intake is all I'd consider and it would come off if I ever sold, but I'm just not sold at all on a CAI w/o tune giving you 30+HP. That goes against everything I've ever thought lol

I think the HP is bogus. I'd say it's strictly for sound, unless someone like 01bluesnake 01bluesnake has a dyno of a stock GT500 and one with a CAI only.

Dyno results I can allllmost buy because they're open top vs closed from the factory, so maybe they get more air when the car is stationary, but on the road I just don't see how it can make that much of a difference.

I have a 22 here now, that is a 2.85 pulley, JLT and tune only i'll be getting on the dyno today, but nothing JLT only from what i remember. i'll have to look. I can't say i've ever had a GT500 come in stock to do a pull, throw just a JLT on, then a pull to see the gains. Lots of people forget, with these types of blowers, it isn't uncommon to make another .5psi to 1 psi in of boost just from opening an inlet, unrestricting flow. Most claims are crank hp, cold pulls, but i still don't 30hp is realistic, maybe 20hp

If you decide on a CAI let me know, dealer for both, and would be happy to get the car on the dyno to see actual CAI only gains. I do a lot of the JLT, but the VMP has a more desirable closed lid type setup.

I'd def order from you, thanks! I can't branch this in to its own thread, so mini thread hijack, but I do frequently see vids of them making more power on the dyno. Do you think this translates to the road, or is it just because they can suck in more air when stationary with the open top design?

Sounds good. Your gonna make more power while driving, more so in boost. The less restriction at the inlet, the more boost the blower will make even without a pulley change. It's the same theory when porting blowers, it increases flow when done properly, so they produce more power spinning at the same speed.
