Edit- didn’t his actions also screw Cavill? Like it was the reason he decided to leave The Watcher series? Then got the rug yanked out from under him.
Maybe indirectly because the movie flopped. Cavills Superman got axed because they gave Gunn the keys to the entire DC creative direction. And he wants to start fresh with his own characters.
I'd assume they're going to "destroy the universe" in The Flash to officially slam the door on all the old characters.

Even as a car guy I can't bring myself to catch up on these, I think the last one I saw was the one where they go through the tunnel from Mexico into the US. Even that scene bothered me.

Tho this was the 2nd movie I've watched this weekend where a kid just straight up murders, and everyone is just cool w/ it. Maybe i'm just getting old
