If you look at the installed views I'd say straight pipe one. The candy cane points down.

Looks like the other forum recomended me to get this one:
Mini Bike Exhaust - Honda/Clone

I guess the way its bent will allow it to fit better on my murray frame? This build would be rather expensive because next the guy recomends me to get this muffler off of ebay. It looks like it needs to be welded on. It would run $100+ before the weld job. >:|

With a long pipe like that they're really not that loud....I mean they're loud but not crazy loud. Just hack the stock muffler off the little flange/pipe and weld a piece of long straight pipe on it.

Or just buy that first pipe without a muffler you posted.

I was thinking of just buying/using the existing flange... Im most likley going to need that to get done professionally as I do not know how to weld... Yeah maby just go with a straight pipe and then if its too loud pop a muffler on there.

Did you pick up the engine yet?

Here's a few pics showing what to do with the limiter lever. When you remove it make sure the part it's on doesn't fall in. It should have a little clip on it but they can pop off.

Then when you re install it put some vise grips on the end of the rod sticking up; it'll make it easier. You want to push the lever as far down as possible and into that gas tank mount as much as you can. You also need to pull up on the rod and twist it all the way clockwise then tighten down the bolt.

Then you need this guy to connect the throttle lever to the carb. Then you run your throttle cable through the lever and to your pedal.

Thank you very much for coming through with those pics! Yes, I did purchase the Honda clone this morning for $82 after tax! Im going to open it up and take a look at it later tonight. At the moment, looking at your pictures I do not know what or where I need to install that spring, but after looking at the engine I bought tonight I should be able to figure it out :D

Oh and check it out! I found a guy that custom makes a header just for this build (engine/frame combo). Its got a unscrewable muffler so I can run a straight pipe and a muffled exhause. Pretty sweat :D

not sure if you know but there's a local gokart shop in Carol Stream on Gary ave. I think they sell minibike parts too, I bought a couple things from there once. Internet prices may be better but thought i'd share.

You start working on it yet?

If you pull the air box off and pull the carb out a bit you can see where the linkage goes for the throttle to carb. It's the black plastic piece where the little spring an metal rod are.

Does your throttle kit come with it? Otherwise I've got one here for you.

You doing a dry clutch?

I havent started working on it yet. Still at work. Due to the rain, I dont think im going to attempt to mount the engine tonight. Im for sure going to open the box and check out the engine though.

I do not have the throttle kit yet, but I do have a picture of what it will include. Check it out. Maby you will see it?

That was $30? Yikes! I see the linkage there along with everything you need....though you can get 90% of that for like $8 at a bike shop.

A dry clutch is exposed while a wet clutch has a housing around it and is in an oil bath. We run wet clutches but they're pricey. Dry clutch can be had much cheaper. It's what we have on the outdoor karts.

Yeah... $30. Im going with a dry clutch. Actually I think im going to begin working on it tonight too. Well see. At least get it mounted before I start spending a bunch of money on it.

What do you suggest I do with that linkage kit and the governor? That tear down tutorial looks like a real PITA. Actually, it looks like ill break it for sure X|
Will that external governor removal u suggested with with that kit?

the cheap $20-30 centrifugal clutches last a long time and stand up to alot of abuse. If you are just using the bike for a street cruiser/light off road they are perfect. If the end of crankshaft is tapped, i'd recommend putting a fender washer and bolt on there to prevent it from moving.
