I like what you're thinkin with that. I might just do the same. Need to hit the treadmill too...

Just got the treadmill at home tuned up last night. Tightened up the belt a bit and re-lubed it... now I can run and it doesn't slip or stutter at all. Thank god... its a crazy feeling when running on a treadmill and the belt slips. It's the start to one of those videos where folks fall and bust their face on the belt.

I got a treadmill at the gym yesterday that the belt would slip every so often..wont lie, i was pretty nervous...after 3 miles of thinking i would gonna face plant i decided to switch. its high up there on my fear list, haha.

i'm working with somewhat limited free weights @ my house.... and i had a hernia in may of 2009....so i was out of commission for a while ( of course this is when i was down to 225 the morning of my surgery...4 months of diet and exercise lost....still pisses me off to this day )

i'm still cautious on certain exercises ( i.e. squats ) and i tend to keep the weight slightly lower than what i "may" be able t do.

lighter weights and higher reps are good, it changes it up...but to still get the muscle "building" you would need to do like 10 sets of 10-12 reps and only rest 10 seconds in between ( german body comp )

i have actually read that if you want to build your bench ( for example ) to have a friend with you ( not always available ) but to start with only lowering the weight slowly, have your friend assist you pushing the weight up....builds resistence i guess, resulting in strength ?

Interesting. I guess I use the old fabled method of higher weight, lower reps and strain like an SOB to lift the weight. It's worked fairly well for me so far...

I get winded crazy fast when I'm doing lifting that way:

10 sets of 10-12 reps and only rest 10 seconds in between

Insanity. Maybe I'll try though... :dunno: You have any info on how that is supposed to work?

eags,
me and my buddy john refer to him as "big chuck" the guy is in his late 40s and is shredded...says he never hit the sauce. he's got all sorts of insane training and supplementation ideas, BUT THEY WORK.

you can follow him on facebook. he has " tips of the day"
he only trains athletes and will not work with them if they wont keep a "log"

story, this guy wanted his help, big chuck steps in, says " grab the 45# plate and do side shoulder dips ( works traps ) the guy says " i worked traps yesterday"
big chuck responds " SHUT UP "

THIS GUY'S attitude is top notch man. you could get lost reading his shit.
