a guy I work with here used to work at Fox trails ski resort in Cary when he was a teenager. He said it was lame with 7 slope runs with tow ropes and they were always making fake snow. It was converted to a bar in the early 80s and sat vacant since.

It seems all these places we have been to are now gone. But there is still stuff out there and that house in Elgin PANDA and I have been looking for HAS to be out there somewhere.

PANDA do you have any pics of that house duga found in long grove with all the major appliances all over the front lawn?

The stories about the house on Cuba road behind the white gates has been going on for years. Back in the early 80's many use to go there to "party". One rumor was it was used by devil worshipers at one time and they sacraficed bodies. Back then the house was still standing. (anyone know when it burnt down??) As for the cemetary on Cuba road, It became infamous because that section of Cuba road use to have the trees over hanging on the road. There was a "tall man" with a "ball" who was there once.

You will see Cuba road and the cemetary. The kids in the movie takes a car and tries to drive away from the "tall man" who is in the cemetary. As he is driving some creatures drop out of the trees over hanging the road to stop the car. (I think the car is the tall man's hearse).

Haven't been to any places in a long time. Now that I have a decent camera, I really should go out exploring again. Problem is every year places like these get torn down or security gets increased. Not to mention it is winter right now.

Panda, you should see if you can bust into the old Hubble Middle School in Wheaton. Cool old building and I only see maintenance guys there during the day, no more classes/teachers/students. Its got tunnels underneath it as well. The property is/will be sold and the building knocked down for stores within a few years.

And there is an old ass abandoned Jewel across the street too. That will probably be knocked down soon.

He had a 3 story mansion, which everywhere points to it being burned down early 2000s by the fire department for practice. Also had a pool, barn, horse stables, silo (which is the only thing still there), tennis courts, chicken coop and a swing set. It was probably a pretty baller place at the time. A young kid died on the property in the 60s and the guy who owned it eventually went to jail for something related to his business. It sat vacant for decades which gave way to the rumors of the mafia owning it and it being an insane asylum.
