BACK TO THE STILL OWNED

10:

I got this bike as a birthday present in .. 2003 I believe. What I did with it was buy parts with my birthday money from that year. I bought:

Hayes HMX 1 Mechanical disc brakes with hd calipers and pads

shimano hollowtech crank / high performance heavy duty bottom bearing / avenir pedals

serfas gel seat with cutout to relieve pressure on that one area.

sunlite rhynolite alloy dual wall 1.5" rims with shimano disc hubs

geax atb tires with green walls

easton monkey bars

shimano deore xt / lx componentry (derailleurs/rapidfire shift kit and brake lever set)

kevlar lined braking and shifting cable

aaaand i think... that's it. i might be missing one or two small things.. here's a picture of what it looked like in august of 2006, it still looks the same. haven't touched it.

1994? trek 830 or 850.. I cannot remember. I found it in the garbage. these bikes retailed for $300+ when new, even back then. the guy was THROWING IT AWAY. I brought it home, tore all the parts off.. stripped frame down to bare chromoly tubing. primed, painted, cleared. built back up using parts that came off the mongoose when i upgraded all the parts :)

got the Trek / VW Racing team stickers at a 25 mile event I did back in '05 in Waukesha, WI.

so.. who else?

I really want to get back into riding. I got my license and began getting more into cars and way out of bikes. I still know a decent amount though
