Or, hear me out, get rid of DRS?
Sergeant to Albon, “not only did you destroy your car costing me a race, you got passed by not one, but BOTH Haas cars.
While the Russell crash wasn't really as bad as it appeared.....w/ the way his car wound up on the track, and the amount of dust that was kicked into the air......if anyone else would have been closely racing behind him......... I don't think an F1 car has ever taken a broadside hit directly on the FLOOR before. Least not any modern one
Even being the last lap, it should have been red flagged. That was flat out dangerous, even if the track marshals were indicating a problem in the corner. No one would have lost a place.
Why, last lap and all the cars would have had to go around Russell anyway to get to pits.100% agree on that one
They just add ballast to the car. But imagine if this happened at Monza? The Tifosi would have mobbed the place (not in anger). Also, I TOLD YOU Sainz has a distinct advantage now
Immediate danger on track, all drivers then know there is imminent danger. VSC just means that they need to take caution, but it could be off the track/racing line. And they're just reducing speed, but maintaining pace to neutralize positions. Why, last lap and all the cars would have had to go around Russell anyway to get to pits.
