UPDATE: Same boss who asked me about VA yesterday, emails me at 715 asking if I'm interested in going to GA Oct 3-6. Yeah no, I'm not playing this game.
So if you remember about a week or 2 ago I posted about my buddy being locked up in Crook County. Well I took his Wife to court last Friday to get her to drop all the charges which she did. Judge wasnt happy, but fuck him as he doesnt know the whole story. After charges were dropped he has sat in Crook until Tuesday, Kane came and picked him up for the drugs that were found in the car that night. Stupid fuck had 1/2oz of meth, 1/2oz of coke, 1oz of weed, 1oz of shrooms, 15 molly pills and 6 scales, WTF do you need 6 scales for lol. Back in 2012 he was sentenced to 8yrs for selling coke to 2 different undercover cops in 2 different counties. With that said, and all the shit he was caught with, his bond in Kane County is only $2k cash lol. So its not just Crook and Kim Fox, they all do it. We all thru in some money last night and sent his daughter to post his bond. Once posted he will probably get shipped to McHenry or Walworth Wi where he has other warrants. Kane County gives these fuckers tablets in their cells lol. He can make phone calls with it, write emails and limited internet. Thats fucking crazy.
We will see, his lawyer thinks he will get task probation even with his previous convictions. He said with Covid, its a whole new world with sentences.
He has no violence convictions in his background. Even if he does get task, 100% chance he fucks that up. Task probation requires weekly drug/alcohol tests, curfew, counseling/treatment classes. Everyone I know has chosen to do time vs task. Reason being its like they do with people eligible for boot camp. They will offer you a couple years in prison, or offer you something like 10yrs if you take boot camp or task. Meaning if you fuck up at boot camp or task, then you wind up getting 10yrs.

Most of my neighbors don't pay me any mind. I've had the fire department come one time for a fire I was having, but that's been it.
The one side is all million dollar houses, so I'm not worth their time. The other side is normal suburban 300k houses, but they all don't want anything to do with me. We are cordial enough, but I never talk to them really. Our backyards all meet up together and most of it is blocked. I'm zoned ag so it's perfect

The more as time goes on, the more my current actual boss (the one that has been for almost 5 years) and I realize how fucked this IT department is. The private equity money just keeps buying little guy after little guy after little guy and the IT team is constantly scrambling to unfuck current issues as well as onboard new people every week.

Since we are talking about work travel:
My immediate boss, which is only in title and he really doesn’t “manage” me, last week sends me and my coworker a spread sheet with about 75 pick n save grocery stores in WI. “You guys have to visit these stores in October. You decide how you want to divide them up. I need this by Wednesday morning.” Right away I knew he was being his lazy ass POS self and didnt want to do the work. There is no easy way to do it so I had to look up each store individually and I created 4 regions. It was 2 hours of computer time which is not really my responsibility since I am suppose to be a street guy. Both my other coworker and myself were furious he made us do it. I ended up doing it because I am the only one with a work computer with excel. Sure enough last night our district manager was in town and took us out to dinner. This mofo uses the spread sheet I created as part of his presentation basically taking credit for it. I am legit more furious at this asshole than my drunken neighbor running over my mailbox.
