I dont know if thats what it costs. I was asking and used those numbers as an example

I could see that you could spend 200 a night on a decent place to stay, another 1-200 a day eating/drinking at the bars and restaurants if it's just 2 people and no kids.
If you want to rent a boat be ready to shell out 700-1000 for a day.

If you want to be able to blow up the creepers thread, LOTO is the place to go. Tons of eye candy everywhere.

Have you ever been, if so is it pricey? Not just the housing/hotel, but in general. My problem is, when I want to do something like the Ozark's or similar. If it looks like its going to cost me $1200-$1500 for a long weekend (thurs-mon). I'd rather leave the country for that type of money.

This year we would go ourselves but typical have a large group of multiple families and rent out some ridiculous mansion w/ a hot tub / pool and pier slip near or at Osage Beach. We also rent a large pontoon boat and waverunners most of the week. Bars and restaurants on the lake are also a great ti

Being there multiple times, we either grill out a lot at the house or eat where the locals eat (damn good BBQ).

Way there and back we hit our normal Rt 66 spots, including the large red rocking chair, Uranus, Shelley’s Diner (damn good breakfast) and other spots.

We spend approx $1500 or so for a week for the rental itself.

My male pit was scheduled for surgery this morning for ear hematoma. We brought him in Saturday as his left ear was the size of a baseball. They couldnt do it Saturday and scheduled for this morning. Last night as we were getting ready for bed about 10p. He yelped in pain, go look at him and he must have scratched his ear with his paw. Semi ripped it open, fucking blood and puss everywhere. Cant touch his ear to clean and or put pressure to stop the bleeding, because it hurts him really bad. Call a few emergency vets last night and was turned down smfh. Had to literally stay up all fucking night laying on the floor by his side making sure he didnt shake his head or paw at his ear again. Needless to say, I havent slept yet, might have dozed off for 10-15 min here and there but everytime my dog moved I was up. Got him in for surgery this morning, hoping it goes well.

Hope it goes well. Which ER vets did you call? Curious if any of the VCA locations were one of them.

I took mine to Golf Rose for their ER vets a little while back and it was a pain in the ass, called and made an appointment, then waited in the car for them to come to me to take the dog, etc....

I get having Covid precautions, but Id rather be masked up and with my dog than just handing them over to the vet and waiting in the parking lot.

Hope all goes well at the vet today!

We just had to take our pit into VCA Westmont as he ripped off a nail on his front paw.

We had Dr. Peacock there do both his leg surgery's and Dr. Childs every other time. All around best Vet we have been too and highly recommend them!!

Golf Rose who said their Dr was already doing an emergency surgery. They told us to call a place in Elk Grove, Elk Grove said to call their other office in Buffalo Grove. Buffalo Grove said they couldnt do it. Dont have the names, as they just gave us phone numbers.

Thanks man, and we had to do the same. But they had to let me in as they cant handle my dog. I had to muzzle him, which yes he gets the fucker off no matter how tight. Then I pinned him against the corner, the Dr snuck in to give him his sedation shot in the rear leg. Within 10 min he was out like a light. My Wife and I were just talking yesterday about how he loved the vet when he was younger. We took him to a place in Lisle to get neutered when he was almost 2. They must have did something to him to make him hate the vet with a passion now. He is fine in the vet, but the minute the Dr or tech comes in, he loses his fucking mind.

So they just called and said still in surgery, a lot worse then initially diagnosed. Wanted to know if I would be comfortable pulling bandage off and reapplying every 2-3 days at home, or if they should schedule me to bring him in. But it will cost almost $200 a visit as he will need to be sedated every time. Fuck that, I'll try and do it at home lol.
