I know this has been gone over 1000 times, but it usually gets lost in the bigger threads. I've got about $125 in amazon credit right now and I'm ready to throw it at a pressure washer. It's time to step up my game. I know Gav'sPurpleZ Gav'sPurpleZ and others swear by that little Ryobi unit, but it's really not available on amazon. Going by those same specs, I've kinda got my eye on this unit.

I don't need anything fancy, will only be used for car wash duties. This one comes w/ a "foam cannon", but looking at it, I don't have much confidence in it :ROFLMAO: so I would definitely be looking for something else I could hook to this thing. So whats the consensus on this thing? Are all foam canons pretty universal?

It's a small, cheap unit. Cleaning power is figured by pressure and gallons per minute. Neither of this machine's stats are great. Might be good enough to wash a car but it's not going to do much for sidewalks or washing home peaks. I prefer spending a bit more and getting a gas unit with better stats.

I read but I don't like the cheapy PWs. Remember, I had a pressure washer biz for 25 years. My machines were commercial, $8K units which were awesome. I'd dump a little more cash in and get a gas machine that you can use for driveways and home washing. It's funny that Amazon sells a floor machine attachment and people buy it with this machine. It will be like pissing at the ground. Not enough pressure/GPM.

Karcher requires some adapter fittings. Obsessed garage tested about 80 different "budget" PWs and Karcher seems to be the best of the "cheap" ones.
I would visit his site to see what is needed, there is a spreadsheet that shows what size nozzles to use etc.
as for foam cannons, the less expensive ones work just fine, you may need a 1.1mm orifice to produce thicker foam. If you are concerned about that.

Might as well use a hose with a good nozzle. I have owned dozens of pressure washers. I know what I'm talking about. If you want to wash a car, go cheap. Until it breaks then rebuy. If you want a machine that can do more spend double and get a gas unit. Heat makes a big difference but you're spending $1K plus. I could talk unloaders, hoses and quick disconnects but that's more $$ too. $150 (on sale) gets you a decent gas unit that will clean your home, fence and driveway as well as your car.

I have the older style Ryobi 1,600 psi 1.x gpm unit. I bought it a few years ago now. I use it 95% of the time for washing my csr. Works great for that. Sure, the foam cannon doesn't have as thick of foam as a higher flow/pressure unit gives you. But still works great on my ceramic coated vehicles.

It also washes my driveway, deck, porch, aluminum coding, rocks, lawn furniture, and anything else I point it at. It gets two thumbs up from me.

Sure a more powerful gas unit would probably do better on everything. But for simple home chores the lite unit is easy to use anywhere and the small footprint makes it easy to store in the garage. As well as throw in a car and take to my parents house to do all those same chores. Definitely worth the $65 or what ever I paid for it on sale at Home Depot.
