this looks like a shit time

came back to my room to see some kind of big fuck flying around the door yesterday, don't know exactly what it was but never saw one here before and he was quite sizable. gave him some social distancing space before getting into my room.

they do appear to be around here, the prior city i was in has an article about a guide killed by them...

Some more education on the flying nasties. Basically if it is fuzzy, let it be (no pun intended). If not, kill it with fire, nuke it from orbit if you have to.

When I was younger, me and a bunch of friends were playing baseball in this retention pond area in our neighborhood (well it wasnt a pond but it probably was at one point)...ANYWAY....we found a hole in the ground and one of the younger kids start jamming the bat into it over and over, just smashing it up..........and then came the first OW.....followed by frantic screaming and all of us running for our lives. The entire nest came barreling out of the hole and was attacking my friend and trying to get at us. It was insane. Parents came running out to grab kids, one house had a hose blasting as we came running. It was a scene, man

This has happened to my dad at least twice now while cutting his grass, only it was hornets. The first time he stumbled up them was when he was weed eating. He had replaced the string head with one that was much more durable with hard plastic blades. When he realized what was happening he held the head over the hole and went full trigger, wondering how much gas he had left. He took out a bunch, but not before getting stung a few times. Eventually he dropped the trimmer and ran for it. Dove into the hot tub hoping the water would get them off of him.

The second time was when he was using the push mower to get where the rider wouldn't go. Same thing, the vibration disturbed them and they came right out. Only this time he just left the mower over the hole and walked away to get a beer. Said he could hear them getting banged around inside the deck as the blade shredded them. Only a few stings as well, but one was on his knuckle which swelled right up, and another got him on the cartilage on the back of the ear.

I just want to put a mower over the hole of one of those ground nests to see the carnage...

There also was this pretty cool Youtube video I saw once where a guy took out an aerial Bald-faced Hornet nest with a drone...

Enjoy:
