fucking crazy numbers across the board. looks like the new rams and gm twins are chipping away at ferd late in the year last year.

i wonder if "ford f-series" includes f450s + up with that nomenclature.... pretty vague.

although, same wonder goes towards ram, wonder if the 4500 + stuff counts or what brands count what

oh. well there's the answer for that...

Compared to last year, these numbers represent an 18 percent increase for the Ram truck lineup, and a 2 percent decrease for the Silverado lineup. Chevy's heavy-duty trucks fell 8 percent and the light-duty Silverado fell 1 percent overall; Ram, meanwhile does not break out sales numbers for light- and heavy-duty trucks. Notably, both companies rolled out redesigned versions of both their light- and heavy-duty trucks recently.

The numbers are all inclusive, and what keeps Ferd at the top are all of the fleet sales they get across the country, including my company that bought Ford exclusively until this year because they stopped making cars, so now we are moving to GM.

Don't know what it is, but if you look at all of the fleet/company vehicles out there seems like 7 out of 10 are Fords.

i mean, fleet sales are critical to all the manufacturers and quite simply, the whole economy of course.

those big fleet sales keep the manufacturers going. i wish there was a breakout to see what numbers go "that way"

my boss has a new land rover discovery in florida right now, rented him a "standard suv"

enterprise alone... worldwide of course but... fucking nuts.

Combined, Enterprise Holdings and its affiliate Enterprise Fleet Management accounted for $25.9 billion in revenue and owned more than 2 million vehicles throughout the world in fiscal year 2019.

The good news is a bit of surprise, and comes courtesy of GMC and Chevy trucks. Silverado and Sierra sales have struggled a bit earlier this year, but Q3 2019 shows very strong improvement over Q3 2018. The GMC Sierra is leading the growth charts with an 28.9% sales growth over Q3 2018.

sierra must be doin' something right

edit... or they sucked so bad in 2018 they are making up sales easily.

Is the year-over-year change 2019 over 2018? Crazy to me that ford didn't drop worse with a 5 year old design and the ram and GM trucks being new.

Silveraydo dropped worse than ford even with their new bodystyle...apparently I'm not the only one that thinks they're ugly

yeah but they are showing way more growth at the end of the year if you read the other link i posted.

you're only thinking half tons also...

5 year old design for the f150s but the f250/350/450's aren't that long in the tooth, and are super solid trucks.

gm's new 2500 & 3500 really didn't come out until the end of last year, and the 2018/19 models were not as solid as the new trucks are.

also, i have said it before and ill say it again, the silverado's look awesome in the right option packages.

Silverado was down in the table on the left too though. Either way, appearance is all personal preference, and I don't really care who sells more. Only thing I'm interested in is how the F150 update goes because that's where Ford makes all their money, even moreso now that they canceled all of the cars and completely fubar'd the explorer launch. It looks to me like they're really not changing much on the outside...which is not good. If this doesn't go well they will be in a world of hurt.

Even if you like the way the f150 looks (as I do), you're not going to buy a brand new 2021 that looks just like a 2015. Nopenopenopenope

Half tons ftw. So it looks like Ford also doesn't report sales by f150 vs 250 vs 350 etc? At least I couldn't find it in my 11 seconds of diligent searching.

So is ferd in trouble? I hadn't realized they weren't doing much with the f150 appearance in 2021.

There's gonna be like 10 million matching f150's on the road if they don't do a legit refresh.

looks like best i understand ford includes f150, 250, 350, 450, etc, in "f series" sales. they may as well name the ranger an F100 at this point and bump those numbers more.

i dont think they are in trouble, i just think ram is chipping away at everyone with being a loss leader almost? i dunno.

seems like silverado caught the idea too as their "big trucks" are known as silverado's too. gmc doesn't seem to have a 450/4500 compettitor?

but yeah, one of the reasons i wasn't about the f150's was because there's 20359098 matching trucks on the road... there's a contractor here that i swear has just been buying up all that "light matte gray" edit - abyss gray (different than yours i think) colored crew cab baby dick bed f150s and that even made that color uncool around here.

The assumption is a refreshed exterior to bring it closer in line to the 2020 Duty's, with a WHOLE new interior, Sync 4, that crazy screen shit from the Mach E, new powertrains including EV/Hybrid, potentially one or both being IRS based.

f150/250/350's are sharing cabs now across them right?

gm's aren't now for whatever reason. beds either iirc.

I'm 100% certain that all the doors and the bedsides are unchanged since 2015 here. 90% certain the hood is unchanged

Doors: yes
Bedside: probably
Hood: maybe, maybe not. People are saying its being changed.
Tailgate: more than likely changed, more than likely have some sort of gimmick to it (a la Ram, GM, etc).
Front Fascia: all new, supposed to be 2020 Duty-esque.

The big news is gonna be interior and drivetrains. The 5.0 is supposed to be donezo for 2021

Correct, 100% the same cab on 2015+ 150 and 2017+ 250. Brilliant cost move as the cabs are huge on these newer trucks anyway. Was actually shocked to see GM didn't follow suit in their redesign.

The Rams look to be great deals. Dad was at a farm show yesterday and the Dodge dealer had a new ram 1500 Laramie for about $45k.

i think around here all of them are right now...

IL had a tax law change with vehicle purchases the first of the month, and i think new sales are down currently because everyone who planned to trade in/buy new, did so last month.

i just saw on a dealer's site, a new 6.2 LTZ silverado for 47k.... and of course ford throws money at their half tons just as crazy as ram and gm.
