This happened to one of the guys in our Chicagoland group on GolfMK6.com. Car has less than 2500 miles on it, 3 weeks old

Contrary to the thread there is a decent amount of damage despite driving home. Needs a new intercooler, radiator, and oil pan. There is also some metal on metal sounds coming from the axle, possibly dented the trans case.

And no even though it is the same color it is not mine...

Sorta... This was copied from TCL

So returning from a session on track at Autobahn, I was greeted with this sight in the paddock:

Apparently the guy was pulling in alongside his buddy and failed to notice the huge freaking rock in front of him.

They ended up lifting the car off with a tow truck and pulling the rock out from under it with the lift. Aside from a torn up belly pan and severely bruised driver ego, the car drove away with no major damage.

His explanation of how it went down.

Wasn't later til he found out the other damage
Yes guys its my car.
I was going of a road on a grass doing like 10mph at the most. My friend in front of me got it around and I saw one rock on a side and thought its a last one. My a pillar got in a wsy. And since road was higher than grass I slipped on a rock... to
tally my fault.
Radiator is bent up but not leaking. I guess ac condenser is bent. All the plastics underneath are gone. Bumper is scratched and some plastics are broken.
