I've hear they whine like a super charger, but in your case I don't think that will be an issue.

A little bird was telling me that Eagle was last getting the heads off of the block. In for updates

It's true.

and well, sure enough, LS1's are interference motors. The heads are going to have to go in for a rebuild w/new valves. I think I probably bent 4 obviously and touched 2 others... so they'll need to be replaced.

Motor is probably going to be coming out pretty soon.

We'll see. Right now, I'm guessing she's down for the count in 2011. I don't really see the point in rushing and spending up all my play $ to get this fixed just to close out the last couple weeks of the season.

I might just fix up the motor and sell it in favor of something iron based (not that iron would have prevented this failure at all). I like more cubes tho!

perhaps so, but I need to come up with the time and money for the repairs. Engine must come fully out to fix this problem too... so that's a huge drag on time.

I could just slap on a new timing set, front cover, oil pan and repaired/rebuilt heads and hope for the best... but I'm not sure that's a good idear.
