Interlocking garage floor tiles

I Pulled up these black and white tiles out of my garage that were in it when i bought the house. The garage is 17 1/2 X 25 1/2. The entire floor was covered and had a tapered edges for the door. Tiles are 12in x12in. I dont know the exact # of tiles. I was going to put them in my basement but got lazy. They are in decent shape a couple have small melted spots from me doing some welding. Looking to get $200 for everything. Picked up in Seward, IL

One pile is still in the garage and the other is in my basement.

Was this sticky backed or glued on? Just trying to figure put il how it was secured because I want to only do half the garage.

I believe these type of tiles are neither... They just lock onto themselves.

Turk is right, they just snap into each other.

I took them up because I didnt want to ruin them welding out there.

Im not sure on how to do just 1/2, since they snap together. I dont think it would move around much if its a large area
