Make: Ford
Model: Taurus SHO
Year: 1998
Color: Black
Mileage: ~159000
Price: $1800
For sale! My wife's 1998 Taurus SHO. The car is black and in overall good condition though it does have some rust on the rear wheel wells. The paint still shines up really nice and the car is good looking when it's clean. It doesn't look like a beater.
The cams have been welded. The transmission is original but shifts really nice, firm with no slipping and no problems. No really, it shifts nice. It's a little surprising but the original owner said it was never rebuilt, just properly maintained.
The interior is tan leather. The dash was replaced a couple years back because it was deforming from the summer heat. The previous owner paid a lot of money to have this done. Tires and wheels are both under 2 years old. I have records going back several years from the original owner.
I've had the car for a little over a year. I've put in an alternator, replaced a transmission line that broke and put a battery in it.
Overall it would make a great DD. It's not slow and it's not a hotrod but it has enough power (235hp) to scoot along pretty well and the V8 sounds mean but get's great gas mileage thanks to it's small displacement (3.4 liters).
