I have owned this car two times. I regrettably sold the car last year with running a best of 11.4 in the quarter mile. After I sold it, it just didn't sit right with me that it never hit its 10 second pass. I had the opportunity to buy it back, so I did. I ran three 10 second passes. With that accomplishment I decided I wanted to build the motor over the winter to throw a big 3.4 whipple supercharger on it. Halfway through the build of the shortblock.. and with the purchase of my 2014 Chevy SS, I decided I wanted to go balls out on the Chevy instead.
Being that the Block was already almost finished... We just wrapped up little preventive maintenance items such as new gaskets, timing chain tensioners, new ford clutch cable and timing chains. The shortblock has been completely gone through. The motor work was done by a master technician at my dealership. He has been around the mustang scene for 20+ years and has a twin turbo mustang himself... some of you may have seen at Doggie Diner. The car fired right up after the build, no issues what-so-ever.
The car is now ready for some SERIOUS horsepower.
We went with DSS Forged Aluminum pistons at the stock compression ratio.
