Not a fan of the HDR but all photographers get into the HDR phase at some point though. Them is some nice rides.

No. It is manual adjust setting.

This is close to HDR, but is not actually HDR. What is making the pictures appear to be HDR is the editing, the structure in particular. I'm not a fan of the actual HDR, but I do think a little of its influence makes pictures look better. I call this a toned down HDR.
