Default any Marauder run the Chicago 1/2 mile?

Did any of our MM guys give it a go? I didn't see any times for MM, but saw the gal that brought out her Mustang V6, good for her.

OK, so if I have 3:79 gears, 1-to-1 in third gear, and 487 rwhp, readline at 6400, how fast am i going at the end of the 1/2 mile? I'm usually at 113 mph at end of quarter. Might be fun to give it a try, not on the street tho.

You might be right. Friday I cleared the 1/4 mile traps doing 5000 rpm at 112 MPH. That's about 45 rpm per mile of speed. I would need 1250 more rpm to make it to 140 mph if everything is linear. My engine pulls strong to 6400 rpm, so that leaves a max potential for 1400 more rpm. Throw in tranny parasitic loss at high rpm and wind resistance, 140 might be top and your 132 might be realistic.

I have trapped 115 in the past in my turbo gtp about 3 years ago... at the half mile my best was like 138.5 or something fwiw

25mph seems to be a good rule of thumb when estimating 1/2 mile from 1/4 mile traps.

so last friday I gained 22 mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4. That would put me at 134 mph in the 1/2, using your rule of thumb. I'll take it!
