noob Question on heads

Are these ported?
all the casting numbers and markings have been ground off and as far as I can tell they are but I dont know much...

My guess is they are 243 heads made to be talked up as 241 heads.

Those look to be CNC'd ports. Titanium retainers too possibly? Are they double springs?

Where did you get those? They may very well not be stock castings at all....

They're probably PRCs or something similar. It's a blank casting that has been CNC'd to open it up. If those springs have more than 8-10k on them I'd replace them just as insurance.

hmmm.. I am not sure on exact miles on them. thanks for the info Now I just have to find out how much to sell them for..kinda hard when you dont know exactly what they are lol

ok.. so I have been doin some research and I guess the D shaped exhaust ports indicate 243 or 799 heads and center bolt means 99+.. So I guess now I need to find a local Flow bench tester

So like I was saying... its a bare casting. Most places that make CNC heads will start with bare 243 castings and go from there. Good luck in your search.

Judging by the fact there arent even any castings inside the head where the springs are, like a stock head would have a bowtie and part number, that they would be a PRC ported head with patriot/PRC gold springs.

Those are not a set of PRC heads. We have never ground all the numbers off the heads and never had an intake port that looked like that! That's pretty rough to say the least!
