Whipple Upgrade.. Did I miss anything??

Hi - I am getting together all required to upgrade to a whipple with 17lbs of boost. Here is my list so far...

Did the injectors come with the adaptor harness?
Probally want a 2nd second loop but don't have to have
I would go with SCT for the tuner

Are you going to do the install/swap of the SC? If so I'd recommend a few additional items:

couple cans of carb cleaner to clean the IC
screw clamps for the fitting under the IC as well as all vacuum lines
new bolts for the IC to SC
loctite for IC to SC bolts

Also would bet you will need a longer belt with the addition of the idlers

Maybe also add an FRPS disk from KB???

The 60lb. Injectors are the new design from uscar and don't require the harness. I have a gatorback belt. Why an SCT Tuner??

Have not thought about the FRPS disk from KB, what is the benefit??

I was going to have Hans do the upgrade...Just want to make sure I have all the required parts before I call and make the appointment.

That seems to be the concesus around here and there a few option that they have for data logging and multipe programs that the diablo does not.

-edit- I see you already have the diablo, no need to switch now.

one of many posts about the FRPS disc - - can search the other forums as well and get some more info before you make a decision. link

If doing the PPRV delete then get the disc, otherwise you shouldn't have any problems. If you are worried about it the best thing I can advise would be to carry and extra sensor in the car.

Looks like your list is pretty much has it all covered and more. You may want to pick up some AFS 10.5" rears and some sticky tires.

My straight shot (RAI) put out out more power on the dyno than any of my in the fender (CAI) with my KB @ 19#s

Oh and I think the 14" shorty antenna looks better lol, just my .02

+1 all day long, 21psi and 100 octane with a good tune that car rips. You can save the 17psi for the street tune.

I just didnt want to have to run race gas all the time, that was the thought behind the 17lbs of boost....

That being said the car only has 2900 miles on it so maybe the extra boost is the way to go.........

suck it up nancy! 100s pretty easy to find and not that much more than 93, im just saying thats a lot of $$$ to only run 17#... plus it doesnt sound like your cars a daily driver. obviously its up to you and what you want out of the car, just my .02

most tuners can tune 19-20psi on pump gas (93 octane) with a conservative tune and then put an aggressive tune in it for 100octane.. Your list looks complete BTW!

You might consider bigger fuel pumps, like the GT pumps.
The BAP may or may not supply enough fuel, but there is no doubt that the GT pumps will do the job.

With the GT pumps, you probably won't need the BAP.

Better to have too much fuel than not enough.
Also is a good time to do the PPRV delete.

make sure to get shorter intercooler to supercharger bolts, I just found that out on my install myself.
