engine removal

Just wondering how I can get the engine out of my car. I don't have a lift and as I understand it it needs to come out the bottem. If this is true does anyone know how else to get it out? It's a 97 cobra with only a set of shorty headers. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

bring it to my house and pay me to do it. lol I live in elgin and have pulled about 10 motors out in my garage in the past 2 years. I'm going to be pulling the motor in a 2 valve GT this week or next.

Just wondering what the best way is to get it out. My wife and I just bought a house and the other day we were told we need a new sewer line. The same day the dam car started making a tapping sound. I don't have the money to pay someone to do it right now. I'm just trying to weigh my options and figure out what I'm going to do with it.

You can rent/buy/borrow large jack stands and raise the car up high enough to get the motor out.

just take it out the top, wayy easier. Ive taken my motor out twice now out of my 04 cobra. I take it out with the longtube headers tranny and motor all together.
