Broke halfshaft at track now loud vibration coming from trans under deceleration

Are you sure its from the trans? Pull shifter boot off and put your hand on the shifter arm to feel for vibrations. Could possibly be a spider gear going out in the differential? :dunno: Just trying to offer another possibility for ya!

When I blew my diff it was a spider gear that went on a launch. Sound was horrible!

My car developed a nasty vibe after breaking a halfshaft. The vibe happened in any gear, but got WAY worse in 5th & 6th @ highway speeds. Talked to Hans about your car the other day, and the symptoms are a little different but it could still very well be the input shaft. I remember seeing a few people on modfords have this issue as well... not sure if they ever came to a concrete conclusion though.

Is it a liberty input shaft?

thanks for your guys input im just trying to get the car back so i can break it a different way next time at the track :D hopefully its the input shaft
