need Help with misfire

Car is bone stock except for k&N filter and Magnaflow catback. I never had this problem before & car was just sitting in the garage. Now when I take it out it drives good, but when I go under WOT then is misfires pretty bad. Sounds almost like fuel cut, and it sputters. But, if accelerating @ up to about 70% throttle everything is good.
Any ideas as to what I should be looking at. I purchased a new set of sparkplugs (TR6s) and just have to go back and get the gap measuring wheel and then I am gonna gap them and put them @ .035 .
Last thing I remember doing is washing the inside of the engine compartment and I don't think that I've been going WOT since. Any ideas are more than welcome. :biggthump

I would datalog your car if you have or know someone with an XC2 to start. Make sure your pumps are getting full voltage.

Change fuel filter and buy or use someone elses FPRS and see if this solves issue.

Also, like you already mentioned, make sure the plugs are all gapped correctly.

Just to make sure as well take off the coil covers and make sure the coils are on the plugs securely.

man all this talk about the tr6's made me go out and exchange them for tr6i's already lol

Check the fuel pump, too. Your symptoms sound similar to mine when my pump was failing.

thanks for the inputs all.
Turns out it was plugs. I replaced them with TR6s, and gapped those to .035. Old plugs were gapped to like .055 lol

.055 is a leetle bit big for the gap. LOL! Glad it was a simple fix.
