Problems with Engine Oil Pressure

I noticed the past week or so, each time I drive the Cobra, I can smell something that smells like something is burning. In that same timeframe, my Engine Oil Pressure gauge has gone toward H and is no longer in the middle. I read the manual(Don't say it!!!) and it says if it meter goes toward L to add more oil.

My question is, is this normal? If so, I won't worry. If not, what should I do to fix this?

i dont trust the stock gauge, mine is closer to the H than center but my autometer one refutes that and shows the real psi its operating at..

So, that is normal huh. I know Cobra's are not the quietest and most pleasant rides, but I want to make sure nothing is wrong. There are so many other noises and what not, it's hard to tell what is good or bad.

Silly question, but it is full of oil right. If you smell something burning, its most likely a sign of a leak. Any change on your guage warrants checking it out. It may be nothing but you dont want to find out the hard way!

The sensor itself may have a leak which could cause it to read incorrectly. Back in the old days that's exactly how they used to fail.

It definitely has oil. I always add 6 qts. of it each change. I'll check it out on my break for any oil in the engine bay.
