HELP! cobra down

so im installing my IRS brace and all is going well until i realize i cant tighten the second bolt from the bottom due to interferace with what i believe is a tie rod mount, or whatever the fuck it is, its in the way!

anyone know what im talking about and how the hell i can finish my install?

Put a jack under the IRS and CAREFULLY move it up and down a LITTLE BIT to see if you can get clearance that way. You also can pry it over with a pry bar to try to line up the bolts. A couple of them can be hard to start.

i thought about that but didnt want to mess anything up, i gave up, cleaned up and went to quiznos lol. ill tackle this tomorow.

i was able to get to all of mine by either raising or lowering the housing.

remove the tail pipes, remove the two lower bolts that hold the shocks onto the control arms (1 on each side), remove the two rear IRS bolts (1 on each side), put a jack under the diff. and lower it slowly, it is super easy using this method. This is also the same way I install rear springs

only the passenger side cat back need be removed

not sure why you're messing with the shocks since the axle doesnt need to come out

and it really really helps to have an 18mm ratcheting box wrench to do this job

If this was for the 2 larger bolts, I think its a 19mm. I went out in the middle of the install just to get the 19mm ratcheting wrench. It is not needed, but really helps out.
