I just cut the stocker with a hacksaw and hit the tip on a grinder. Reception as good as stock length from what I can tell.

I just cut mine, the shaved the top down and pressed the ball back on. The ball fell off on the highway about a year ago so now I just have a little stabber.

Pep Boys has shorty antennas. Mine has a coiled section that adds length to the antenna without adding height. That way you get the shorty look without degrading the performance.

i hate how our antennas look theyre so gay
i dont listen to the radio tho so i just mite delete mine altogether

if you are talking about deleteing the antenna hole all together,
it needs to have a small piece welded into the fender then bodyfilled,
painted/ cleared etc. :biggthump

In the event you choose to us a "shorty antenna" you are sacraficing any sensitivity the stock radio has. For ideal FM reception its best to use a fixed length of 31". Shorty antennas are for cosmetic reasons only.

I got a shorty off mustangtuning.com about three weeks ago and I've noticed no change at all in reception and I live in the far northwestern sub. Reception is good.

I cut my stock antenna down a bit, then superglued the ball back on, used a little black touch-up paint to make it look stock. I listen to cds all the time anyway.
