i keep gettin diff. stories. Can a 99 cobra be s/c with 8lbs. max boost and still ger 50k plus miles on it w/reliability????is it really that likely that there will be a problem?????????Any experts out there?

Any 96-01 cobra with a stock short block and supercharger is a time bomb waiting to go off. Some guys have gone 50k miles, some have gone 200 miles. Always be prepared for the rebuild.

I spoke w/larry at speed inc. and he said as long as the car has a good tune and not a whole lotta boost the car should be ok.(as long as i dont CONSTANTLY beat the piss out of it)

8lbs with a really good tune, no freak problems, no bad gas and no preexisting problems should last a long time.

But Id keep it in the back of my head.

or about 8 hrs. depends on how you drive, I reccomend a P1SC. intercooler is way better. Gap the plugs at .030. seemed to be best with mine. be carefull...

I agree... You always reinforce the car first, then add more power second... Do it right the first time and the project, as a whole, will cost you less.

Or, just go buy an 03 - 04 Cobra and be done....

thats a good idea but i dont want to spend more than $17-18k .that way i'll still have enough cash to get a H.D. road glide. i would only keep the car for a couple years.decisions decisions????
