speaker question

I am going to replace the stock speakers(mach 460) with new, and have a question about the size..I looked at http://www.flemworld.com/Mach460/Mach.html#Speakers, and they said the vert has 5 1/4 in the rears, and 6 1/2 in the front. So I go to crutchfieild and it is opposite.

Will the 6 1/2 fit in the rear? It seems I would have to modify to fit a bigger speaker, but crutchfield doesn't mention?

BTW..No factory amps or head unit is in the car...and its a vert.

Input? Ideas?

5 1/4s fit in the door without extensive modification that 6 1/2s require. 6 1/2s will fit in back no problem. You might have to get or make adapter plates or drill new screw holes. I haven't pulled the car apart to look yet.

Door Speakers should still be 6x8 in the vert backs are deffinately 6.5"

If your changing the radio do yourself a favor and go to a Circuit City and pick up the amplifier bypass. aftermarket speakers sound like ass on a mach460 amplifier. Any more ? Pm me!!
