Head tick

Has anyone had their head replaced for the tick? Who would you recommend to do the work if you had the tick? May need to get mine in to someone before the warranty expires. I don't want just anyone tearing into this engine.

chris@svtspeed. how many miles are on your car? when did you realize it has the tick?


will this tick only be covered under warrenty? i am buying a 03 cobra (built june '02), and to my knowedge it has not had the head(s) replaced. i hear no ticking as of now. the warrenty is up in 2 months. what happens if it starts then? am i out of luck?

If there are over 2,000 miles on the car and you don't have the tick, you will most likely not get it at this point.

My driver side head is currently being replaced by Fair Oaks Ford in Naperville.

If this new 01/2005 head begins to tick, then the only solution would be a loud exhaust. Can't hear the head ticking then... :headbang:
