Actually, I need to put my new Ruslow one on too, which also requires disassembly of the drive shaft.

Fletch, when you say remove the universal joint clamps, are you talking about the C-clamps inside the pins on the joint?

Is that preferred to removing the short bolts (I think there's 4) connecting the differential to the joint assembly?

Thanks BlackBolt03, I love this cover. It's an ARE brand lid, and I even have the bedrug-type liner on the underside of it (to match my bedrug) and electronic locks on it. I don't know of any for sale right now used, but check the paper and the classifieds over at f150online.com, it's the same cover for all 99-04 heritage shortbed flareside f-150's.

I think I paid around $800 for it new.
