Default 1968 cougar 17" rims from 2005 mustang issues

1968 cougar bought a set of rims from 2005 mustang rears fit great ...however there's something rubbing... It's my friends car so I haven't seen it yet. I think from what I found online its the upper control arm but he said its bottom rubbing. Does anyone have a cost effective way in order for him to keep these rims...I've seen upper control arm relocation kit and expensive lower control arm kit...... Any help would be great

Default Spacers

I've always heard horror stories of them snapping or sticking out too far. Plus he kinda wants a more reliable way ? Any other suggestions?

just don't buy cheap spacers. get something hubcentric and torque it right and spacers will be fine
