Vacuum Leak

I'm pretty sure I have a small vacuum leak. My autometer boost/vac gauge is reading 17 vac at idle when it usually reads 20. And, my car sometimes hesitates. I had the gauge installed 6 1/2 years ago by a shop. I think the heat from the valve cover got to it and caused a leak. What can I put on the valve cover so the the heat won't damage the vacuum line connection?

I would zip tie it out of the way so it doesn't even touch the valve cover.

My advice: Throw all that shit on the drivers side IN THE GARBAGE.

That black shit on the red vac line is from that black sticky tape from the factory. I'm pissed how that shop cut into the vac lines under the hood when they should've connected it behind the glove box.

Obviously I'm gonna re-do this mess under the hood.

Should I get a T fitting and connect the 2 vac lines they cut? And then connect the boost gauge behind the glove box?

I deleted all of the EGR crap and totally remade the whole vacuum harness. IMHO it looks 100X better\cleaner. I also teed my boost gauge in to the line that runs from the lower boost port (on the back of the blower) to the bypass valve.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm just gonna re-do it exactly how it is with a new y fitting, zip ties, etc... And zip tie it so it doesn't touch the valve cover.
