Do you know what you're getting yourself into? Sounds like you're buying a whole lot of stuff that doesn't really sound neccessary for a stock block b18b.

Its getting forged goodies over winter (Found a set of eagle rods already), it is getting a low PSI turbo setup well before then.

the reason why I 'challenged myself' for July 26th is because I figure I will have my fuel issues sorted out by then so I can get a clean NA run in before it gets boosted.
over winter I wanna do forged slugs/rods and block guard with some head work. I hope for 14-18PSI and over 300whp (I will also upgrade my turbo and manifold over winter as I'm starting with a cheepy to learn on)
how much harder is it to sleeve? Block guard I can have done fairly inexpensively at a machine shop, never looked into sleeving.

Keep in mind, I'm not aiming for a 500hp monster, 300-350whp is the goal, I'd like to break 200whp with the budget setup.
5-8PSI is the goal with stock internals, I've read alot of articles with people running 14-15psi with good tunes on stock internals (but thats obviously not the safest thing in the world, so I figured on upgrading pistons/rods and a block guard and running a max of 18)

and i agree. do it right or don't do it at all. If it's too expensive, then cars are not the hobby for you.
