well this is my next car for sure. I've been in love with these S4's since my bro's 01 he had a bit ago. What ya guys think?

I'll probably still keep the sebring and either let my g/f have/use it or really just hold onto it since it's been in my family since new and is a good car...

can't wait.

I was told Audi/VW are very unreliable. Remember that when your looking for a older/higher mile S4. My friend was going to buy one, but banned it after he found out how much it is to fix/maintain them. Eitherway its a nice car.

late 90's early 00's was NOT good years for reliable audi/VW.

Kims 89 VW Cabriolet ran out of oil 3 times, got beat to hell for 4 years, and mechanically we replaced A battery, A starter, a fuel pump *because she ran it out of gas and it burned up* and a Transmission *Again not maintained and beat to hell*

for a car nearly 20 years old, I think 3 minor repairs and 1 major repair is pretty damn good considering it wasn't maintained worth a damn, but the moment they went to the 'mark 3' platform in the mid 90's for the golfs/jettas reliability went down the hole for almost all VW/Audi models...

i agree with panda. was told by multiple people to stay away from pre-01 audis. know 2 friends who had more recent S4s, with the twin turbos. neither in the end appeared to be satisfied owners.

would not buy myself... dunno what they are going for but e46 m3's are obtainable for under 30 now. altho i'd advise waiting til more people are screwed and buying even cheaper...
