change odometer reading??

I bought a different gauge cluster for the GTP a while ago and the odometer is a old school non-digital style, and I would like to change it to match the actual mileage of the car. Does any one know how to do this or is it easier to take the odometer out of my original cluster and install it in to my new one? I dont have the first idea where I need to go with this.

Have to roll it forward then get to the mileage you want. If you turn it backwards you'll turn the lines between the numbers grey which will indicate it has been tampered with. I think there's an easier way though, take it to a speedo shop and see what they can do for you.

yes... a non digital odometer is a old school odometer / cluster.

im guessing he figured out that they are modular and designed to be assembled by hs droputs.... so im figuring he just swapped odo blocks
the newer digital units are still modular but youd have to pulse the odo to forward it and then it goes to 999999 n stays there

pretty much just took the cluster apart and swapped the odometer. It was actually very easy.

Wow. Didn't know they still made gauge clusters that way/that easy to swap in the mid-late '90s. Would have thought they'd design it in a way to make it harder to mess with by then. Good info for future reference.

you know, its not too hard to change to ODO on the ol school block type. just have to line up the locks. theres youtube videos galore on how to do it.

its simple to do, but you will have to take it apart. just do it its a learning experience
