03 Ford Focus. Needs new Pads/Rotors Installed

My Aunt has a 03 Ford Focus. She needs new pads/rotors installed all the way around. She really has a tight budget and could use a deal.

How much would I be looking at for parts/labor? I think it would make a great Christmas gift :smile:

Rear disks? Autozone has rotors cheap for the focus. Look it up.....

Auto Zone prices: (Schaumburg store)
Front Rotors = $52 each
Rear rotors = $28 each
Front pads = $22
Rear pads = $20

Total parts = $202 (+tax)

Typical labor rates at a small shop are about $65-$75 an hour and the "book hours" for a brake job on a Focus is 2.5 hours.
Dealerships run about $125-$135 an hour.

You would be better to buy the parts and do the job yourself or with a friend.
Most friends charge a six-pack of beer an hour. and with two people doing it, It would take about 30 minutes.

(I recently helped a friend do his Grand Am's front disc and rear drums and it took 28 minutes 45 seconds.)

Back in the summer Auto Zone started dropping the "Valuecraft" products and going strictly to the "Durolast" products.

The rotor sizes are the same for 2001 and 2003, It's just the Durolast is twice the price.

Yea....I always buy the shitty rotors. I've spent money on nice ones and they get eaten by good pads regardless of price. I'm not about to spend $100+ on rotors for a dd.

Give me the parts and bring it to me, I'll do everything for 50 bucks. Only catch is it'll have to be in the morning while I'm in Auto's because they have a nice heated garage with a lift for me there
