Its all in the owner. Average age of a 911 or corvette owner is a lot higher than a cobalt ss owner.

yeah, after reading the track review and all the kudos about the cobalt SS we seriously considered getting one until we found out the insurance rates were just as bad as when we briefly owned a SpecV and SRT4.. they aren't regular Sentra or NEON rates on those cars either.. lol


and I pay a lot less for my boxster S insurance than my 911 (figure that one out)... BUT the kicker is the boxster S and 911 were cheaper to insure than the SpecV or SRT4.. so yeah..

It also depends on where you live, too. And, of course, the weird ways the insurance company rates cars.

To add to this ... the other day, I called my agent to get an idea of insurance rates on newer cars. They quoted me MORE to insure a used, 2008 Dodge Charger ... than a brand new 2010 Camaro.....
