so what is the difference in the motors/tune from the regular 335i?

I know the S55 (M3/4 engine) has an air to water intercooler vs. the N54/55's air to air. I'm assuming larger turbos, more boost, etc.

But, it's a BMW trubo motor, so it's gonna leak oil from everywhere possible and need the turbos replaced at 50k miles.

I think I'd want it quieter, even if it meant a couple 10ths off the time.

so what is the difference in the motors/tune from the regular 335i?

it's similar to the n54 motor in the regular cars but there are quite a few differences. Reworked turbo's, additional cooling, bigger IC, maybe some lower compression. Would have to google to see the differences. Its pretty common to get 380-400whp out of a 335i with a tune and intake. Fun cars and I miss my old 135i and 335xi.
