The only good sounding 4 banger is the boxter engines. All the rest sound anemic as hell, unless it is modded to hell with a huge turbo so that's all you can hear.

all of the louder exhaust notes I have listened to of those are really really bad. The note is so bad, it makes the car look worse to me somehow. The EB exhausts that are more subtle aren't really awful, but it still is a bit off.

Agreed about the boxter engine note being about the best sounding 4 banger, but that is subjective. I enjoyed my wrx exhaust note when I drove it though.

Even the worst ST exhausts I've heard still don't sound as bad as that thing does. This does not bode well for the RS, since it will use essentially the same 2.3L.

I literally thought that the car wasn't turned on in the video until it drove away, it was so quiet. I thought that first rev had to be from another car behind the camera man or something.

Now tell us about that S4 of yours a little more.
