dont know... i pulled the head and all i found was a broken ring in between the head and gasket and the chunk missing from the piston but no sign of the bastard

id make fun of that, but im spraying alot of nitrous on a stock LT1 bottom end, so i will most likely have an identical problem soon! why does GM feel the need to make pistons out of glass? even the mighty LS7 doesnt have forged pistions!

Nothing wrong with hypers if you treat em right...

even a 3.4 pulley was too much for his setup, no surprise he killed it with a 3.2.

Good luck with forged pistons and such, they won't last, they never do.
Get a new stock bottom, and stop abusing it. If you're smart about stuff, you'll never blow stock pistons. I'm coming close to making double the stock hp output on stock pistons, no problems. Matt's GP is making well over 600 whp, stock bottom, no issues.

Hypereutectic pistons are like women, know their limits and treat them right, and usually they'll return the favor, but treat em wrong and you're in for a shit show; though just like women, sometimes hypers just go to hell for no discernible reason
