I've never heard of someobody doing a 383 stroker w/ a hotcam...I guess it worked out well for you....I' m still saving up to get a 383 stroker w/ a comp 306 cam....Good luck on the sale, sucks that you don't have any pics to show it off

306 cam wtf? that's a peanut cam for a 383 my OLD cam was 222/222 intake/exhaust

EDIT: oops I feel stupid I was thinking of the wrong cam yeah that's a good one for a 383 I personally still would go a little bigger if you built the 383 to spin to 7k

If I hadn't bought my built tranny I'd hop all over that ride, take out the engine and tranny and put that in my impala and leave that z in a stock form and have me the combo that I've been wanting a built tranny and and a 383 stroker ......Dawm it ......its the wrong timing

Close, he bought it with the rear end shot and had since had a beefed up one installed. He even fixed a number of problems with it that was a result of really poor routine maintenance. It does need a couple of small issues with it still but it's a lot safer to drive now!


Give him time though, he'll blow it up...it's his destiny!

are you sure about that ? i was under the understanding that he bought it with a bad rear end but tried to drive it home anyway and then he finished it off ......

car is still for sale.

the rearend was gone when I bought it. didnt care if it went out. made it as far as my work. towed it to the shop....and spent 1g on a new rearend(slightly modified), and 500 on matinence it should have had. then another 120 on a battery. so I'm breaking even.

I pulled a 1.8 at Byron with it. it runs and drives strong. less than a handful of small things still to fix. but other than that, it rocks.
