3800 So my brother wants to race me in his Jeep

My brother is home on leave and he told me that he wants to race me in his 01 Jeep Cherokee and he's pretty confident because he says he'll put $100 on it. I think he thinks that because he has a V-8 that he's automatically faster than my little ol' V-6.

Too bad he flew home this time and didn't drive. I could have put that extra $100 to good use. Oh well.

I had a Dakota with the same drivetrain and 5-speed MT, 3.55 posi. My best was 14.7 with slicks, and 15.2 with street tires. BTW, it was a 318 5.2 l. The jeep is either a 4.7 or 5.2 I'm guessing...either way it'll probably run a 15 flat unless it's had a lot of work done to it.

He says it has the 4.7 in it. And that's rated at 230hp stock, not sure what the torque numbers are though. Plus I think he weighs about 1 ton more than I do. I plan on doing it as long as he drives his jeep home next time he's on leave. As far as the pulley thing goes...my brother knows less about cars than I do so the size pulley prolly wouldn't matter to him. Besides when we took my stock pulley off we kinda crushed it somehow with the puller.

I raced my friends 03 durango with a 4.7 and all wheel drive. So he did not have a traction problem. I smoked him in my gt by like 2 to 3 car length. the only mod i had at the time was cat back exhaust.
