3800 no more magnasteer???

A while ago, when just replacing my coolant bottle, I started the car and the ABS light and Low Tire Pressure light came on. I also lost Magnasteering...

Today when i started my car, both the lights were gone and i had magnasteering back!!! But as soon as i pulled outta my driveway the lights came on again and i lost magnasteering again. I checked and made sure that the sensors were plugged in... but what else can i check?

hook up to a scanner and drive with it on and see what each wheel speed sensor is reading. The abs, tire pressure and i am sure the magnasteer are all related to the wheel speed sensors. My dummy lights were doing the same thing and i found out the driver front wheel speed sensor was bad.

I had the same problem.. now they are on all the time..

You need to find someone with a tech2.. and read what codes are being thrown (not a normal scanner, as it's not a trouble code)

Mine turned out to be the EBTCM module (with a retail of $720)

But it could be something much more simple.

When he stopped by, all the lights were on, but the SES light was not on. I would figure that without the SES, there would be no code. It almost seemed like the trac fuse was blown or pulled, but we checked it and it was fine.

Yeah.. it's not a trouble code.. so no SES... But there is a diagnostics mode with the Tech2.. for the ABS system.

I see. Would an enhanced atap detect an ABS trouble code?

If you know someone with a Snap-On MT2500 unit, it can scan ABS codes and do ABS diagnostics also.
