Info:

(quote from Cars.com, from some Detroit paper)
Mustang:
"Our Mustang GT's V-8 delivers a beefy 300 horsepower and 320 pounds-feet of torque. Ford says the car goes from 0-to-60 in 5.1 seconds, with a top speed of 143 mph. Despite the performance aspects of the convertible, fuel economy is reasonable, at 18 miles per gallon in city driving and 23 mpg on the highway."

Lets say the GTP has some of these mods:
- 2.8"
- TOGS
- VS CAM
- IC
- Heads

This is just a 'fun' poll to kill the afternoon. No hidden flames or what not directed to any V8 Mustang or GP owners :) .

I've raced one before, they're pretty quick....I was very surprised.

I've got to go with the Mustang on this, sorry guys. At high speed CI rules all, just the laws of physics.

PS: JET, I got a ZZP hat this weekend with only $20.00 for an entry fee. Did you ever get that $1500 for the hat you had. If you did, I might try selling mine. :lolsign:

yeah I didn't want to get flamed, but that is what I was going to say and what i meant by "faster than most think"

I raced one in my Trans Am, and I never had a mustang stay kinda close to me (3 cars or less) ever. I was very impressed, and I'm sure the thing was BONE STOCK.

I raced one in 30 degree weather. I was stopped, he was rolling about 5-10 mph. I popped off the line then let off. I like to let someone get a lead then blast past them. I did everything to just get even next to it. Shocked to say the least. I just minutes before was running down a farm road with a g-tech meter, and I got a 12.8 1/4 mile, so I figured I was hot shit when the Mustang pulled up.

1/4 mile is not the point here. With what JET listed above, it was a run on the highway going from 100+, big difference.

i agree

even though its at 100+ i think it would be tight

perhaps someone should try this?

i have beaten 2 05s from a small roll but i stopped around 105.
