Please choose which date would be good for you for the Mod Day/Raceday weekend. And if anyone knows anyone or has any ideas for places for the Mod Day let us know. We need enough room to work on cars and possible camp out, or have room for people to crash. We will either have the race day at GLD, Byron, or 41 depending on the location. Still waiting to hear back from Mike K about offering his place to do this at. Just need some back up plans if his doesn't work out.
As of right now Mike K is willing to have it at his place in case you guys haven't seen it in the other post:
I can get 7 cars in the driveway to be worked on (6 in the drive one in the garage). We have a fair sized backyard and people would be welcome to camp out (I'd just have to warn the neighbors of ensuing chaos) and people would also be welcome to crash indoors. We have plenty of parking for cars (up and down the street) so that's not an issue. We can commandeer the block.
I am 45 minutes to an hour from GLD and about 1.25 - 1.5 hours from Byron. My personal preference would be GLD as everytime I've been to Byron they manage to hold up the staging lanes for a ridiculous amount of time. (one run per 1.5 hours both times I've been there). We can also look into renting out GLD. $1000 and I think we can get this done. Assume we have at the most 50 or so cars (being generous) you'd pretty much be able to hotlap at GLD if that's your thing.
