IIRC the operating temp of the tranny is 210*.

My GS must have some kind of hidden trans cooler installed cuz it takes awhile for the temp to come up to 190 and then I've never seen it over 200*.

I dont know the exact. I thought thats what I read on clubgp awhile ago.

for the past month mine hasnt gotten over 80. but in summer it didnt go over 180...well When I beet the crap out of it when I first got it it sat at 210 for a while.

how does one tell what their tranny temp is?

WIll a ls1m do it? (and i know the tranny temp gauge will, but i know my brother doesnt have the gauge and he can still read his temp some how?)

Yup, TFT (trans fluid temp) found in enhanced parameters.

SO far in the winter my Desert fox has not gone over 150 or so.........

well my was always around 200 and 210 on the highway with my mods. and thats with out at trans cooler
