its already being fixed, its at the mechanics (not just some random place) we know them, they may be higher than some, lower than others.. they take care of me for small crap and dont charge me..

i called another shop near my house and they said a bit over 800...

they gotta drop the whole damn tank and shit so its beyond my abilities...

Its already almost fixed so i cant tell them to stop now. I'm splitting it with my dad as he knows I could have a friend do it, but we need my car asap and frankly im not gonna argue with him for half.. better than having the car sit for a week or two

:eek4: thank god subaru put an access panel in the trunk to get to my pump. just hop in, remove the panel, and boom. fuel pump.

I know for a Prix you can access the canister and pump from the trunk. Ive never done it but Ive seen it done. A racetronix kit with a rewire is $150ish and thats the best aftermarket pump out there.

I can do it in less than a half hour, and that includes putting the tools away and a smoke break. Less than $200 on the best direct fit pump.

Thank god you're only 75% sure, its actually infront of the spare wheel well, and its REALLY easy to get to, and not THAT hard to do.

Next time you need a fuel pump replaced pm me I would have done it for $150 plus the pump. The most expensive fuel pump I've seen yet was $338 at Autozone, and I'm talking about OEM replacements.
