3800 OIL PRESSURE GAUGE

I think the gauge is faulty... PizzaGTP set up my gauges.. (voltz and oil pres) the voltz worked perfectly fine, but the oil pressure doesnt move at all and stays way below 0 PSI. It is hooked up correctly, we even checked the AutoMeter manual. We touched the Ground and the Signal together (and it should jump to 100 and stay there) but it didnt budge... busted gauge??? i bought it used and he didnt say it was broke.

You got to watch out..If you touch the 12v to the signal return its junk.

yea..we made sure we didnt.. we touched the ground to the signal i think... or the ground to the 12 v... whatever is safe and makes it shoot all the way up. damn broken gauge.

Did you check the connection to the sending unit?
Make sure the sending unit is getting current.

yes we did that.. but regaurdless, if we touch the ground to the 12V (or one of those combinations) the needle should shoot up to 100PSI and stay there until the two are not touched. Apparently i got a faulty gauge. I guess i learned never to buy used gauges...
