in a few days im ordering the SD hood. i was wondering what you guys would recommend the SLP ram air kit or a cold air intake. which one will give better performance and/or horsepower? thanks

ram air is highly over rated in my opinion, one thing you could do is simply cut a hole on the top of a CAI box to line up with the hole of the hood and use some weather stripping to seal it (if you really want to use the ram air scoops) it'll just give ya more air

You could make a custom cai and then cut a hole, like bumpin said, in the top. It will be a lot cheaper and you still get to use the ram air.

thats what i did... very very easy to do... all i need now is a r/a hood.

i dont think the SLP air box is that great.....its only got a 7in cone and has way to many bends for air flow.

Go with a TEP CAI w a 9 inch cone......wrap it in heat resistant material and your good to go.

Go with a custom set up....You may be able to use some flexable dryer duct and a pcv collet with a large clamp...Holesaw a hole in you box andsee if it can work that way...Those cold air kits look coo but are not worth all the money...In my opinion.
